Mike Morsch is a 36-year veteran of the newspaper business, the past nine of which has been as executive editor of Montgomery Media in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania.
Hi weekly column, "Outta Leftfield," has earned several awards as best column from the Suburban Newspapers of America, the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association and the Philadelphia Press Association. In addition, he has earned 16 Keystone Awards from the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association for news, feature and sports writing.
Mike serves on the boards of several local associations, including the Montgomery County Coaches Hall of Fame, the Philadelphia Athletics Historical Society and the Eastern Montgomery Chamber of Commerce. For the past eight years he has chaired the "Educator of the Year" committee for the Upper Dublin School District.
He is a 1982 graduate of the University of Iowa, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism and was a two-year letterman on the Hawkeye baseball team.
Mike is married to Judy, "The Blonde Accountant," and the couple reside in North Wales, PA. He has two daughters, Kiley Shetler and Lexi Morsch, and two stepchildren, Kaitie Hughes and Kevin Hughes.
